La sera la notte
il mattino
e di nuovo la sera.
Tutto è vivo in me
nell'attesa assurda
di una vita
ancora tutta da vivere.
Perché, mio Dio,
questo nostro tempo
è tutto fame e sete ? (1968)
The evening the night
the morning
and again in the evening.
Everything is alive in me
in the absurd wait
of a lifetime
still, all to live.
Why, my God,
this our time
is it all hunger and thirst?
